1.0 Returns

1.0.1 Opened products are NOT eligible for return.

1.0.2 We accept returns within 7 calendar days after delivery of the product*. (*Ammunition, Lower Parts Kits and NFA items are not eligible for return.)

1.0.3 Items must be in a “new, unaltered, and unused condition”. Products cannot be installed in any fashion.

1.0.3.1 Definition of new, unaltered and unused condition is:

  • must be in the original, unopened factory packaging
  • without showing signs of wear or damage in any way
  • Do NOT affix the shipping label directly on the product packaging

1.0.4 All products returned will be subject to the following restocking fees (shipping fees are not refundable):

  • 15% for Non-Firearms
  • 25% for Title I Firearms (non-NFA)

1.0.5 Should the product come back with missing parts, damage, or in an unsellable condition due to customer tampering, it may result in a higher restocking fee.

1.0.6 Original sales receipt and/or packing list must accompany the return. Customer is responsible for all shipping costs if seller is not at fault. Refunds are contingent upon inspection of item(s) once we receive the shipment.

2.0 Exchanges

2.0.1 Our system is not setup to process exchanges. Any requests to exchange items will be handled as Returns.

3.0 Shipping

3.0.1 When Will My Order Ship?

3.0.1.1 Orders typically ship within 1 business day, although we strive to ship orders received by 2:00 p.m. CST the same day whenever possible. Expedited Shipping orders are processed first plus they have less time in transit. If available, tracking numbers will be provided for the shipment. Expedited shipping fees and Route Protect fees are non-refundable.

3.0.1.2 Dealer transfers can be delayed awaiting receipt of a valid FFL. NFA items will be held until BATFE paperwork has been approved.

3.0.2 Shipping Rates (*Firearm rates are doubled to Alaska)

3.0.2.1 Title I Firearms (Rifles, Pistols, Revolvers, Shotguns) – $30

3.0.2.2 Title I Firearms (Receivers) – $8

3.0.2.3 Title II Firearms (Suppressors) – $0

3.0.2.4 Title II Firearms (AOWs, SBRs, SBSs, Machine Guns) – $30 (or as listed on the product page)

3.0.2.5 Signature Required Fee Applied to Title I and Title II Firearms – $3

3.0.2.6 Free Shipping Qualifiers

3.0.2.6.1 On Accessory Orders Over $50

3.0.2.6.2 On Orders Containing Over $200 of Ammunition

3.0.2.6.3 Black Ankle Munitions reserves the right to select the carrier utilized for any order where Free Shipping was the chosen shipping speed. 

3.0.3 Ammunition

3.0.3.1 You must be 21 years or older to purchase ammunition

3.0.3.2 For safety considerations and legal/regulatory reasons, we do not accept returns of ammunition

3.0.3.3 Check the local laws of your area for any other laws or regulations before ordering

3.0.3.4 All ammunition will be shipped via ground delivery to the contiguous 48 states

3.0.3.5 Signature required on delivery

3.0.4 Combining Multiple Orders

3.0.4.1 If a customer has multiple orders going to the same address, Black Ankle Munitions will attempt to combine the orders to reduce shipping costs. This choice is completely at the discretion of Black Ankle Munitions.

3.0.5 Shipment Delayed In Transit

3.0.5.1 Once a shipment has been transferred to the delivery service, Black Ankle Munitions is no longer able to control the delivery speed of the shipment. Black Ankle Munitions is not responsible for delayed deliveries, regardless of the shipping speed paid for during checkout.

3.0.6 Shipment Lost In Transit

3.0.6.1 In the event a shipment’s tracking information has failed to update for 15 calendar days, please contact Black Ankle Munitions for assistance.

3.0.6.2 Orders that included the Route Shipment Protection can initiate a claim with Route after 7 calendar days have passed from the last shipment update.

3.0.6.3 Orders that did not include the Route Shipment Protection are covered under Black Ankle Munitions’ insurance which requires 15 calendar days to have passed from the last shipment update before a claim can be initiated.

3.0.6.3.1 Once the insurance claim has been approved, Black Ankle Munitions will ship a replacement item. If the item is no longer available, a refund will be issued.

3.0.7 Shipment Lost After Delivery

3.0.7.1 In the event a shipment is shown as delivered but can not be located, the recipient is responsible for contacting the delivery service and initiating the missing package process.

3.0.7.2 Orders that included the Route Shipment Protection can initiate a claim with Route after 5 calendar days have passed from the reported shipment delivery.

3.0.7.3 Orders that did not include the Route Shipment Protection are covered under Black Ankle Munitions’ insurance which requires 15 calendar days to have passed from the reported shipment delivery before a claim can be initiated.

3.0.7.3.1 Customers will be required to complete a digital claim statement, provided by Black Ankle Munitions’ insurance carrier, attesting to the non-receipt of the shipment. If the customer does not complete the claim statement, the customer agrees that Black Ankle Munitions will not be held responsible for the cost or replacement of the lost items.

3.0.7.3.2 Once the insurance claim has been approved, Black Ankle Munitions will ship a replacement item. If the item is no longer available, a refund will be issued.

3.0.8 Shipment Returned By Courier

3.0.8.1 Once a shipment has been returned by the courier as unable to be delivered, for any reason, the order will be treated as a return and will be subject to the Return Policy.

3.0.9 Shipment and/or Transfer Refused By Dealer

3.0.9.1 It is the responsibility of the customer to confirm with their selected dealer that they will accept and perform the firearm transfer. Occasionally, a dealer included in the dealer locator changes their business model and will no longer perform a transfer of a delivered firearm. In the event this occurs, Black Ankle Munitions will work with the dealer to get the firearm shipped to another dealer to complete the transfer. Any additional shipping fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

4.0 Order Changes

4.0.1 If you need to make a change to your order, please let us know as soon as possible. We will try our best to accommodate any requested changes prior to order shipment.

4.0.1.1 Once the order has shipped, changes are no longer accepted.

4.0.2 The quickest way to change an order is to cancel the current order and place a new order.

5.0 Cancellations

5.0.1 If you need to cancel your order, simply log into your account, go to the Orders page, and you can cancel any eligible orders. For non-firearm orders, the order can be cancelled, as long as it has not been shipped.

5.0.1.1 Once the order has shipped, cancellations are no longer accepted.

5.0.1.2 The time it takes for the pending charge to disappear from your credit card account depends on the bank. Most charges are removed within 3 business days.

5.0.2 Title I (non-NFA) firearm order cancellation requests made prior to shipping, are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.

5.0.3 Title II (NFA) firearm order cancellation requests made PRIOR to the Form 3 or Form 4 submission, are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellation requests made AFTER the Form 3 or Form 4 submission notice has been provided will not be accepted.

5.0.3.1 Title II (NFA) cancellation requests due to a BATFE disapproved Form 4 application are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. The NFA Tax Stamp and any Black Ankle Munitions service fees (e.g. fingerprinting, trust creation, etc.) are non-refundable.

5.0.4 The time it takes for the refund to appear in the purchaser’s credit card account depends on the bank. Most refunds appear within approximately 3 business days.

5.0.5 Black Ankle Munitions maintains the right to cancel any order without prior notification to the consumer. Typically this occurs when the order is suspected as being fraudulent or contains items prohibited in the locality of the shipping address.

6.0 Backorders

6.0.1 We occasionally allow backorders to be placed. If the item being requested for purchase is currently on backorder, the customer is notified on the product page, and on the cart page before completing the order.

6.0.2 Orders placed for backordered items are fulfilled in the order in which they were received. Black Ankle Munitions can not guarantee when a backordered item will be received into stock. For concerns on these items, please contact us before placing the order.

7.0 Online Price

7.0.1 Our online inventory changes daily. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item’s description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer’s credit card or we will refund the account.

8.0 Description Errors

8.0.1 If an item’s description contains an error such as an incorrect price and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. By placing an order, the customer agrees that Black Ankle Munitions will be the final arbiter of discrepancies in the online catalog.

9.0 Product Photos

9.0.1 Photographs shown on the product pages are stock photos and are representative of the item being sold. It is important to realize that each manufacturer has their own processes for manufacturing and finishing an item and there may be variations in machining and the finish from part-to-part and also from what is shown in the stock photos on the product page. Any concerns over the appearance of an item received will be deferred to the product manufacturer per the Product Warranty section of this page.

10.0 Product Warranty

10.0.1 Manufacturing issues are handled through the product’s manufacturer and not through Black Ankle Munitions.

10.0.2 Any issues with purchased firearms must be reported BEFORE the 4473 transfer has been completed. Once the transfer has taken place, Black Ankle Munitions is no longer responsible for any issues that may be discovered.

10.0.3 Defective products should not be returned to Black Ankle Munitions without prior approval under any circumstances. Refunds will not be issued for defective products unless the product has been determined to be defective by the manufacturer and their return process has been completed. Any defects with products must be brought to our attention prior to a return. Black Ankle Munitions can assist you in working with the manufacturer towards resolution, if requested.
